I have a very unusual problem. When trying to open My Network Places from
the desktop or from the Start Menu, it does not open, except just after
booting the machine. If I open it from Windows Explorer, using the tree, it
works fine every time, but otherwise the hour glass will appear for a short
time and nothing happens.
I have a small network of 4 machines, but I have this problem on just one
machine. They are networked using a DLink 524 wireless router. One other
piece of info. that may be relevant this one machine is set up in the DMZ to
allow my bittorrent program to work properly. Incidentally, this behavior
occurs without using the bittorrent program - I have not used it in weeks.
The problem seems to have started since last weekend.
Any ideas as to why this is?
