wireless is dead

i have a hp pavillion dv600 and two days ago the wireless connection
disappeared, by wireless i mean the broadcom network adapter
disappeared from the list of installed network adapters and it took
all connection in the connect to folder and the icon in the taskmenu
with it. then i get home friday night and its working fine again until
today as it disappeared again. ive tried using windows xp application
and driver restore, restoring to a previous point, i took out and put
in the wirelesscard, and none of it worked. any ideas?
