Re: Broadband PPPoE Settings

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thank you for replying

"WLAN in PPPOE " means Iam setting up the login password in the
broadband modem itself. Iam using ADSL2 Modem.
By doing this we donot have to create the PPPoe Setup in the Windows
XP. Just use the lan settings.

This were I get the problem Iam unable to browse it gives page cannot
be displayed error.

Where I can ping my DNS Server.
I have also unchecked everything in the (Internet Options ->
Connections -> Lan Settings).

I hope you got my problem.

Thank you

Hi
It is not clear what setup WLAN in PPPOE means.
Modems per-se do not include WLAN, unless they happened to be a combo
Modem/Wireless Router.
If you would provide more deatils about your Intrenet connetion and the
Hadware (like the Modem Make and model number), may be some would be able to
help.

I have a broadband connection with ADSL modem.
First I have setup the connection in Windows XP. (Connect using
broadband connection that uses user name password)
I have no problems with this setup.

Later on I went to broadband modem settings and setup PPPoE settings in
WLAN and gave the user name password there it self.
I have configured the LAN Settings and tried to browse. It gives me
page cannot be displayed.
I went to internet options lan settings and unchecked everything still
it does not work. I have also deleted the previous broadband connection
setup.
Iam using Acer Aspire 1300 series. this does not have 1394 network
adapter.

I have run the same thing on different laptop, all of them work fine.
Only on this I have the problem.

Please help me
