Re: uninstall remote desktop

Have tried the reregistering of Remote Desktop, ie. run the
command...

regsvr32 remotepg.dll

....then reboot the PC. If that does not fix the issue then I suggest a
repair
installation. Note the warnings on the page...

we have tried all these fixes. we need to find out how to un-install it
and
then we will reinstall it from the CD. thats what we need to do. the IT
people have spent days on this trying to fix it. last time, they
re-installed
the entire OS over the top. that fixed the problem, but created many other
problems. so this time, i do not want to reinstall the entire OS, just the
remote desktop.

firewall is as it should be. ff

I'm not able to connect to my computer using remote desktop. I can
connect
using third party software, so the connectivity is there. I can connect
to
OTHER computers from this computer. The computer is in a domain. "Allow
users
to connect remotely to this computer" is checked. I'm a selected remote
user.

We think (IT dept) if we uninstall and reinstall the remote desktop
from
the
OS CD, it might fix what ever component is missing. Can you tell us how
to
do
this? Thanks.
