Re: netstat ?????

I do tend to go on and on sorry about that but cutting to the chase my
internet provider is saying because i use p2p it is eating all my Bandwidth
and thats what is slowing my computer down but this has only happened in the
past 2 weeks.I have done all the checks i can think of but still slow. I have
a 2mb line.

Does anybody have any idea’s how to slove this problem without doing a clean
start? And also what and how can you tell whats what in netstat?

There's a lot to answer here, not just technical issues.

To start, can you please try and write more clearly, and with less caffeine in
your system. This is Usenet, not an IM program. You can write your problem
report, and reread and edit it a bit before posting, and we will all be able to

Having said that, I would congratulate you on not having formatted your hard
drives simply because you are running a P2P program. I don't quite understand
what a "server" is that would give you technical advice, but we will pass on
that.

Netstat is a command line program that identifies open connections on your
computer. It is normal to have open connections, when you have P2P running and
when you don't. If someone tells you to reformat your hard drives simply
because you have a line of text in netstat, he is not somebody who, IMHO, you
should listen to.

So now back to the original problem. I would like you to read my article on
monitoring your computer. It's a place to start. Then ask questions here.

Also, Spybot S&D is one program, of many, that are used to find malware. Read a
bit more about alternatives please.
