The workgroup name "MSHOME" does not refer to XP Home Edition - it is the
default name for the group regardless of the computers comprising the group.

have an xp pro machine sp2 that i'm trying to join to domain. when i go

the computer name tab and click on change to get to the change computer
name
tab, the member of section shows workgroup as mshome as if the machine
were a
xp home machine, and the option to change to domain is grayed out. hate to
have to rebuild os to fix, but i can't find info on this problem anywhere.
