Hi -- I have a wireless LAN in my home. My computer is connected directly to
the router; my son's is via wifi. When I try to access his shared folder on
the network, I get an error message saying that it is not accessible, and
that I may not have privileges to access this. Can anyone tell me how I can
fix this so I have access? Thanks. -- David

P.S. -- Im using Windows 5.1, SP2

David,

1) What's the complete path to the folder?
2) Can you (have you tried to) access any other folders on that same computer?
3) What edition of Windows on each computer? XP Home, XP Pro with Simple File
Sharing? XP Pro with Advanced File Sharing, with Guest authentication? XP Pro
with Advanced File Sharing, with non-Guest authentication? This may make a
difference.
