Being seen on a network

We have just put a new PC onto our network.

All Systems have XP Pro.

However we are unable to see this machine on the network.or see
anyother machine, we can ping OK, but cannot see on network. It is on
the same domain,

By the way we have one MAC on the network, that machine can see it.

We need to be able to MAP to the new machine from each machine

Can anyone give me a hint.
