Re: Small network

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Still trying - I add that both computers show the connected icons in the
system tray and they both state that the system is connected BUT I still
cannot access the internet from the second computer.

The white coat has arrived but as yet is not donned by anyone.

Host laptop (winxp) is ok for emails and internet using broad band. It
is also ok to utilise files on second laptop (winxp) and the remote
printer. They communicate through a Belkin five port router and two
lengths of Cat5e cable. Second laptop will access shared files on host
computer no problem but will not receive the internet or emails. I have
tried with firewall switched off but no success. Ping one way but not the
other - why? Help please before the white coat man arrives!!!!
