Hi, i am currently using a Netgear 4port FireWall router model WGT624,
I am connected to the internet using Bellsouth DSL and i have a 3mbps
connection.

Now my problem is when it rains for long periods of time my router
seems to go on the blitz disconnecting randomly in 4-5 minute
intervals. Now im a gamer so the blitzing of the internet doesnt help
but I also have other people in the house and so i need the wireless to
work. So my solution is to bypass the router and just directly connect
to the modem. Well that works fine till the rain stops. I then
reconnect the router and i dont get internet anymore through wireless
or a direct connection through the router. I go to the command prompt
and ipconfig and it gives me all the ip address's i want so i ping them
and they are connecting in less than 1ms, but i still cant get any
websites through the router. In the Network connections window it says
im connected and is currently sending and recieving bytes, lots of
them. I have done everything i could think of and nothing seems to
work so im begining to think the router is messed up but i dont want to
have to buy a new one because this is not the first router skrewed up
by this, it also happened to a linksys which i promptly got rid of to
get the Netgear. Any suggestions on how to fix the blitzing/ getting
the router to work would be appreciated.

It seems that the rain disrupts the wireless signals. At least that is
usually when the network goes bad at my house.

An ethernet wired connection will still keep working, but of course, you
may
not care for the wires running everywhere.

well thats all fine and dandy, but i figured that out, my problem is
the router no longer gets me online even though it says it is connected.

Sounds like the router has lost its ability to logon to the isp. Have you
checked to see if the logon settings are correct?
Jim

Yes i tried that checked every setting even reset the thing back to
factory defaults and reconfigured everything still no luck
