Here is the error message that I have from my desktop:
Echange is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network ressource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions. The lists of this server for this workgroupis

I just bought a new computer with winXP. I'm trying to connect on my labtpop
with or without a router and I'm not able.
I ran may times the wizard, I installed on my labtop the program that the
wizard created.
There is 2 connections on the netwoks connections and I don't know witch one
use or there is no difference.
The name of the connections are:
1394 Connection Connected, Firewall 1394 Net Adapter
OR
Local Area Connection NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller
The Workgroup is the same of the both computer.
Help please.
Donald,
Are you connecting by Ethernet? If so the nVidia Local Area Connection is
right. The 1394 is Firewire. BUT, if you're using Ethernet and nVidia, be
aware of the possibilities!

Iread your blogspot and I run: ipconfig /all But I cannot see what the
computer done.
And what will resolve problem?
I can see my desktop(WinXP) on my Laptop(win98), but not the files. And on
my desktop I cannot see itself and the laptop.

Donald,
Your original query didn't offer a lot of detail, such as
# What are you trying to connect?
# What does "...I'm not able" mean? What exact error message or observation are
you making?

If you post "ipconfig /all" here, from both computers, we may be able to help
you. Now if it's two computers, and file sharing (neither was hinted in your
first post), that's another story. And if Windows 98 is involved, still
another.

And since you may have a few more posts to make, please for both of our sakes,
post after my posts.
