Re: Can't access Internet

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I should also add that I uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2006. Also,
the computer refused to automatically retrieve the IP address of the router
so the IP addresses were manually input. Afterward it connected but still
could not access the Internet.

Shortly after upgrading to Norton Internet Explorer 2006 one of my computers
was no longer able to access the Internet.
This is one of two computers on a Linksys wireless network. A third is
directly connected to the router. Linksys has determined that the wireless
adapter this computer is using is functioning properly. It finds and
connects to the router.
But IE can't find any web sites and when I ping a web site there is no
response.
The other two computers have no problem accessing the Internet.
Can anyone help?
Thank you.

Ellary,

Make sure that the DNS server is Trusted by Norton.

If that doesn't help, let's look at "ipconfig /all" for each computer, and label
the problem computer.
