telnet
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
When I telnet into my Windows XP Pro system I can't see my shared folders.
My setup is as follows:
Machine A (Windows) has a folder. The folder is shared with the Workgroup.
Machine B (Windows) accesses the shared the folder as drive S:. When logging
into Machine B, and opening a command prompt the drive is visible and
available.
Machine C (Unix) logs into machine B via telnet. The "S:" drive isn't there.
Doing a
"net use" from inside the telnet session shows the shares correctly, but
shows them as unavailable.
I'm not really sure how to proceed. I ran this by the "windowsxppro.general"
group and no one had the answer.
BTW: I'm doing this because various bueraucratic and security restrictions
will only allow telnet type access through our firewalls.
Any thoughts
