Im try to network my laptop and home pc , i have a net cable from my pc to a

If you only have a switch, your network is similar to a crossover cable. Read
how to setup a network with a crossover cable first.

Next look at both computers, for a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or other security component. There are several other possibilities
too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this article with an open
mind.

Or look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net
config workstation", from each computer, and diagnose the problem. Read this
article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):

Well, it's good that you read my posts. But to diagnose this, you will need to
read my articles. Start by reading about diagnosing the cross-over cable
physical connection. Can you ping each computer from the other?
If pinging is not a problem, then look at the output from "browstat status",
"ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net config workstation", from each
computer. Read the articles that tell you what to look for, or post the output
here, so we can interpret it for you.
Chuck ,,
they do ping..
here's the info on the pc:
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : kyle-1joj2c5izo
<SNIP>
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 4:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking
Controller #2
<SNIP>
That's a start then. Read about the nVidia nForce, and its problems.
