I have two Windows XP Home machines. One I use upstairs (PC1) and the other
one is a laptop I use downstairs (PC2). I want to use PC1 to connect via
Remote Desktop (or something like it) to PC2 so I can work with programs
that are installed only on that machine (like QuickBooks).
I understand I need a host machine and remote machine to run Remote Desktop
but can you make an XP Home machine (I do not have Pro on either machine)
the host?
You can't do Remote Desktop with XP Home. So try a third party product, like
VNC. I use UltraVNC, which will run on multiple platforms, and is free.
