Here's a simple question, I'm sure.
I currently have a Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop. It is connected to
the net via cable, cablemodem, and also has a Linksys router. There
is a blue cable from the router to the 2400.
I also have a Dell
Inspiron 2200 with a wireless card. I use the laptop most of the time.
We are going to be moving into a new home. Unfortunately, I've
misplaced the password for my router settings. When we move, the
router/cable/cable modem will all be disconnected for maybe 24-48
hours. Then things will be re-connected (same ISP) at the new house.
Will I lose all my settings??
Mel
It will probably be fine, but even if it isn't, you ought to be able to
reset it to factory default & reconfigure it for your network very easily.
