Thanks, Chuck, and to the other experts in the group. Here are the requested
network statistics.
CMA
I have 3-computer LAN, with computer names C1, C2, C3, all Win XP Pro (SP2)
connected through router. Internet access is fine. C1 is by far the most
important system. IP address of C1 = 192.168.0.115; IP address of C2 =
192.168.0.116; IP address of C3 = 192.168.0.118.
Here is the information from C1.
Pings: to C2 Request timed out.
to C3 Good ping.
Network Neighborhood\workgroup shows all three systems. C2 is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Logon failure: user has not been given the requested logon type at this
computer.

CMA,
The most common problem would be a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or other security component. There are several other
possibilities
too. Read this article with an open mind.

Since you've checked simple stuff like restrictanonymous, why not provide
"browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each computer, so we can
diagnose the
problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):
