Kurt,

If all of the computers are successfully connected to each other, then you
simply run the Network Setup Wizard on each. On the ICS host, you select:
This computer connects directly to the Internet. The other computers on my
network connect to the Internet through this computer.

On the ICS clients, you select:
This computer connects to the Internet through another computer on my network or
through a residential gateway.

If running the wizard on the clients is a problem, just set each client to use
DHCP for IP and DNS settings.

Chuck

I tried that but it still does not work. I can control the host internet
connection from the client but when I open up the internet browser it is like
it goes to open then then it doesn't. I have manually configured the IP
Adress on each computer with the host being 192.168.0.1 the clients above
that any other ideas

Thanks Kurt

Kurt,

Well, as you've discovered, if ICS isn't working, manually configuring is a
waste of time. You're going to have to figure out why ICS isn't working.

Anyway, the NSW is a baseline procedure. Now let's see what we can find out.
Start with my troubleshooting guide, and check all network components and
services. Particularly "Windows Firewall / ICS" (or "ICF / ICS") service.

And Kurt, please type your answers after mine - it will benefit both of us.
Help us to help you.

Kurt,

Well, assuming that you connect this client to a working ICS host, you're
wasting your time. If the client is running with a fixed address, it may or may
not work. The default gateway is 192.168.0.1, but there are no DNS servers
configured.

ICS clients really need dynamic IP and DNS settings, so they can get those
settings from the ICS host. That's what you get from
This computer connects to the Internet through another computer on my network or
through a residential gateway.

http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/using-network-setup-wizard-in-windows.html#NATClient

Is the above from the client after running the NSW? Make sure that the DHCP
client service is running on the client.
