pos station loses network overnight

ok, I have a pos system in our flower shop, it has one server running
windows 2000 server, and the pos station up front runnin xp Pro. Both are on
dell machines.
system worked fine untill the hard drive went down on the pos workstation up
front. they replaced it, and the mother board. I had to reinstall the OS and
the pos software, now since then overnight the workstation loses the network
connection overnight, wich means rebooting the computer, wich is also taking
longer to reboot than it used to. sytem will run fine all day, but loses it
overnight.

the server does run a backup overnight, and the database is close at that
point and re opened when it is done. this was true before the hardware
change. So for some reason when the server re opens access, the worksation
is not seeing it or reconnecting..
any help would be appreciated..
Thanks
