Here is the scenario:
I have a Windows 2000 Professional computer that needs to print to a printer
connected to the XP machine. IF logged onto the 2K as the administrator I can
access all files and printers on the XP machine. When I log onto the 2K
machine as the user with Admin rights, I get the message "Logon failure: the

KB article, I have added the user to the XP machine with rights and the same
password as the 2K, and I still get the same error message. What am I missing?

With XP Pro, there are a pair of Local Security Policy lists, under User Rights
Assignment.
1. "Deny access to this computer from the network".
2. "Access this computer from the network".
* If your server (XP Pro computer) uses Guest authentication, "Guest" must
NOT be in list #1, and "Everyone" must be in list #2.
* If your server (XP Pro computer) uses non-Guest authentication, your
properly setup, and activated, non-Guest account must NOT be in list #1.
