That error is usually due to a change in a fairly obscure setting caused by
antivirus software. This article contains the fix for that:

Here is the full error message:

Not enough server storage is avalible to process this command.
One other thing that might be relivent. This external drive now has a
large
15 or 20 gig disk image file on it now that it didn't have before - maybe
this would make it harder to display the drive over a network??

Does it by any chance mention 'Not Enough Server Storage'...?

should have said I lost file sharing ablility on the USB drive over the
network - I can still see it from the other computers. Thanks
