Re: Changed domain to workgroup, not able to logon

I was trying to add my work laptop running XP to my home workgroup

When I now try to logon to the laptop, it won't recognize my user
name & password. Can I force it to return to the previous
configuration or domain?

Try using a user name of Administrator with no password. If this doesn't
work and you don't know the user name and password of any local accounts
then you'll have to follow Malke's advice. In any case when you get back to
work you'll have to get your IT department to rejoin you to the domain
before you can access the company network.
