Hello!

I'm running XP Pro on my host machine networked with 1 client machine
(cross over cable) with XP Home. This morning they were both working
fine. I must have blown the NIC in the host and had to replace it.
After replacing it I had a hard time getting networking back up. I now
have both machines pinging each other and I can access client from host

and even print to shared printer. I cannot get the client machine to
get on the Internet nor does it access the host "C" drive even with
permissions and sharing enabled.

I have raked my brain all day trying to get Internet sharing back up on

the client machine. I have checked and rechecked IP addresses but still

no go!!!

HELP - Any suggestions at this point would keep the headlines from
reading Man goes insane over Internet Connection....:-)

Michael,

1) Enable DHCP client on Compaq.

2) Enable ICS on HAL-II. Run the NSW, and select
This computer connects directly to the Internet. The other computers on my

4) Once we get Internet service working on both computers, we can work on file
sharing.
