I installed Trend Micro - Internet Security/PC-cillin 2005 on the computer
this morning & had NO problems with that SO I think I'll be sticking with
this product for all my Networking solutions. I Hate wasting my time trying
to figure out a problem do to software conficts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Found out what was going on...... I uninstalled Norton Antivirus 2006 and
it is working fine now,
So for a FYY Norton Antivirus 2006 Collides with the networking of Win2k!!!!!
Norton Antivirus 2006 has no firewall on it like Norton Internet Security
2006 does!!!!!!
Nice going, LD, and thanks for letting us know the solution. I find
that mysterious networking problems and error messages are often
solved by uninstalling Norton and/or McAfee products.
If networking doesn't work after booting normally, but it works after
booting in "Safe mode with networking", it's very likely that such a
product is causing the problem.
Norton Antivirus 2005 and 2006 do have a firewall component. I think
they call it "Internet Worm Protection".
