Having spent days (literally !) on the user forums "learning the ropes"
about connecting two PC's (a desktop and a laptop) via a wireless networked
workgroup, I find the final hurdle too high.

I have the same admin account (& password) on both machines, but when I try
to map to the C: drive on either PC, I'm asked to logon as Guest. Firstly, I
don't know (and can't find) the Guest a/c password and secondly, I thought
matched accounts were supposed to allow for easy access and direct connect...
? Can anyone get me over this last fence please so I can see the C: drive
from either PC ?

Both machines are XP Pro SP2, and the wireless is courtesy of Netgear, and
"SharedDocs" and Printer Sharing now seems to work (thanks in great part to
"Chuck").

Guest authentication is a result of having either Windows XP Home, or XP Pro
with Simple File Sharing enabled. Which do you have?

If you have XP Home, and are stuck with using Guest, make sure that it's
properly activated.

Taaaaa Daaaaaa ! Didn't appreciate the connection between SFS and the Guest
a/c. Last hurdle (finally) overcome. Cool, very cool and very much
appreciated.

Excellent. Thanks for letting us know.
