WiFi signal is always a concern. Read this article.

According to my rule of bottom up network problem resolution, that's a good
place to start. Find out what the WiFi signal looks like - get NetStumbler
(free), and graph the signal from the router.

If we eliminate the WiFi signal as a problem, then we can start on higher level
problems.
