Mapped drives saying it isn't connected
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Each time I restart my computer, my mapped drives say that they are not
able to establish a connection with the remote machine. But when I go
into My Computer and double-click on them, they automatically open the
folder. It certainly seems as though there is a connection established.
I would think that if there wasn't, it would take a bit longer for the
folders to appear.
What I think is happening is that these folders are trying to establish
a connection before my NIC actually has a connection established. Is
there any way to delay these connections until I firmly have a
connection with my network?
