I am having a similar problem, small home office network with five XP
machines and one running Linux (my son); my X41 notebook first couldn't
connect via its wireless adapter and in the process of trouble shooting that,
I lost the ethernet connection as well. I've tried everything Windows
trouble shooters suggest so many times I've lost track. I CAN see this
machine from the others that are working; including its shared files if I use
its IP address //168.192.0.x; this isolated machine can also see others using
their ip addresses. But there is no way this isolated machine can "explore"
using computer names.
Any thoughts?
