ThinkPad T21 + WinXP = crash!!!

Hi,
I bought an IBM ThinkPad T21 two years ago on eBay. It came with XP
installed, but no XP CD.
I left the registry without back-up until the computer would freeze at
the startup screen (the little bar would just stick in the middle).
I used SiSandra to get my XP key, and jot it down, thinking that if I
used a pirate copy of XP, my key should work.
Anyway, I installed XP from the CD, but when the laptop rebooted, it
would crash when it got to the approximate time of 34 minutes. I have
tried this repeatedly, but I get the same result!
My laptop specs:
Pentium III 800MHz
384MB RAM (128MB + 256MB)
20GB Harddisk
Many thanks,
-Marc
.
