Re: XP Home cannot see XP Pro

Chuck,

Yes, I have been throughly reading all of the excellent and through articles
you've given me links to. I've tried all of the solutions presented and
checked all of the settings mentioned and still cannot get the problem
resolved. You mentioned uninstalling both firewalls. I only have the Windows
XP firewall currently. I uninstalled the entire McAffee Security Suite some
time ago and I only have the bare bones version of Norton Anti-Virus on my
system without their Firwall. Do you want me to uninstall Norton Anti-Virus
anyway? I've disabled and re-enabled the Windows firewall several times and
no effect. I ran the Windows XP LSP/Winsock program, rebooted the PC and
still nothing. I read another post where it was recommended to run msconfig
and disable all non Microsoft services and perform a selective start up to
see if possibly something being loaded is causing the problem. I'm going to
try that out now. What would you next suggest that I try to remedy my
problem here? Again, thanks so much for your time and help with this.

Roger
