Re: Network of 2 desktops, 1 laptop, all WinXP

OK. I have checked your web site and worked through the settings but still
not working. I am not getting a System Error # message. No 5, 51 or 53,
just the "system cannot find the path specified". Both my machine (the host)
and the other machine have different names, and we don't use a password to
access them. The "other" machine, when I go to command prompt and "ping" my
host computer, connects. I see the machine in my workgroup, but can't
connect.

I did the NSLookup (but now I am getting over my head) and the response was
server: 'name'
address: xx.xx.xxx.xxx

Non-authoratative answer:
server: 'domain name'
address: did not match above

Am I going in the right direction? Does this indicate a problem? I am not
technical enough to go further at this point. Any help is very greatly
appreciated. Thanks for your patience.
