Nothing works....let's try again. Both PCs are running XP Home SP2,
the same anti-virus, there are no firewalls other than the XP firewall.
I disabled all the anti-spyware before I installed if that makes a
difference. I now do not have guest accounts on as it works the one
way with out them....i.e. they don't seem to be relevant.....
The system is linked to high speed through a wired router, then both
PCs are connected (cabled) out of that router.
I ran the Network Setup on the NEW PC first, then did the exact same on
the OLD PC.
When I go to the OLD PC to My Network Places I can easily find my NEW
PC and access the shared files there. When I go to the NEW PC to My
Network Places, it shows the NEW PC under shared documents.....it also
shows it under View Workgroup Computers, but this time I don't get the
message that HOME is not accessible....
