Asking for specific instructions in configuring any personal firewall is a dodgy
business; personal firewalls vary so much from model to model, and from year to
year. You need to look at each rule, and decide what functions each one
provides.

Of the ones which you listed,
# DNS provides the ability to resolve names by TCP/IP.
# ICMP provides the ability to ping, and / or to be pinged.
# NetBIOS (is that truly a rule in NIS?) is most likely NetBIOS Over TCP/IP, and
provides file sharing ability.

I think this is where you need to spend some quality time with the NIS User
Guide.
