Cant change xp pro box from workgroup to join domain
I just added a server in my house with 2003 on it. I would like to change
the client xp pro box from its old workgroup to the new domain. When i try
to do this it used to tell me there were multiple instance open... blah blah
blah...
Now - it lets me attempt to login to join the domain (user name & p/w) , but
then it just hangs and ends up 'not responding'.
Ive enabled the user to add workstation to domain in security policy and ive
also made the workgroup the same name as the domain prior to changing.
Nothing works and it always just hangs now and ends up with not responding.
Any clue how to make this xp pro box a member of the domain?
