Cannot open shared folders on Win XP remote connection.

I have setup my Win XP Pro PC at work so that I can connect remotely at home.
I get a connection. I can then open a connection to the PC that shows me my
shared folders. However, when I select a folder to see the files/folders
below it, I get an error message that basically says the the files/folder
could not be open and something about the path not being found. Any ideas as
to what is left to do?
