Ok, I went ahead and realized what I was doing wrong for the browstat
utility. Included are two "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" outputs for
two computers both running XP Pro with SP2. Both are Dell, one is an Inspiron
6000 laptop and the other is a Dimension 4700. The Diemnsion is not allowing
me to access shares, but the laptop is. I even disabled both McAfee and
Windows firewalls and tried to connect, so I am guessing it is not the
firewalls. I even opened the corresponding ports with both firewalls to test
them on as well.
Remember both restrictanonymouse values are set at "0" as well.
