Re: Port forwarding

we need more information to help. But you can use NAT. For example, if your company has Cisco PIX, you setup NAT or PAT.

I work in a company that does a large amount of data transfer over the
internet. Some of the issues we've been dealing with lately are:

1. While transferring data, sometimes the internet connection will time
out thinking there is no activity on the line.
2. The buffer fills up and starts sending data sometimes without saving
it properly.

I know that we can use port forwarding to get data from various ports
to a specific point for collection, but my question is can I set it in
reverse? Can I,  while on the road for example, point all my outgoing
data to a single port on my laptop and maybe some sort of batch file
that will send a "ping" at determined intervals to keep the connection
alive?

I don't know if it's possible or feasible, but would appreciate any and
all comments. Thank you.
