I'll try and answer your above questions. I'm at home so any changes/test
will have to wait unitl tomorrow. Got tired. :-)
AND again, I want to thank you for your help. I've learned more about
networking, etc. these past 3 days than i even thought I'd know.

1. Do you have any need to be on the same LAN / workgroup as this guy next
door?
NO. We just use the same high-speed internet connection.

2. Do you actually share files or other resources with him?
Again, no. Nothing but 'net hookup. In fact, I't would be "better" if we
where seperate. Didn't think that was possible....
Should I rename the workgroups on my 3 system? say to "wabash".

Probably better than that would be for you to get another router, and setup
your own LAN.
I guess the question would be, can I do that and still share internet
connection? Have 1 xp and 2x 98se. No server....

Anyway, are we now down to one problematic computer? If we're that good,
then let's start with "ipconfig /all" for wabash1, wabash2, and wabash3.
That will give us a good test set, so we can diagnose the problem remaining.
Will do that first thing in AM.... I didn;'t know a 98se could run ipconfig?
Or is that just browstat?

If you want to stop and set something else up, we can. Or we can continue
and see if we can get the 1x 98se system(wabash2) running/networking....
(playing with the other children)
It's you call.
