1.
Since the "other" system(Ofallon1,2,3) and server belong to a business
partner AND his system was and is running OK, I may have a problem "messing"
with it. ;-) He has an insurance office, mine in real-estate and he needs
his system up and running 24/7 so he may have problems with me going over
and trying to make any changes to his system.
I don't care if I can get into the system(ofallon1) that's gives me the IPC$
error/msg. In fact, I'd just as soon stay out of it unless it may be causing
problems with my systems hooking up.
As far as getting into my xp system (see problem with wabash3(98se)
connecting to wabash1(xp)), can/should I enable guest account on it so the
98se can get into the files? It's a different msg. so not sure if this is
the problem.
2.
I recheck "File and print sharing MS network" and Browse Master is Disabled
on both 98se's.
Should I disable BM on my xp? If so, how. As stated before, I can see
wabash1 from wabash3, I just can't into it.
Just checked my xp, CP, Admin, Services, computer browser and it is set to
"AUTOMATIC".
3.
I had Norton System Works on the 2 98se but after reading several newgroups
I uninstalled, cleaned, etc. and then reloaded JUST NAV 2005 as a stand
alone. I also have Zone Alarm on all 3 systems but I'm guessing that's not
the problem as I can get into the 98se(wabash3) from the xp system, I can
see the xp(wabash1) from wabash3 but can't get into. Wabash2, next
situation, can't see anything nor can anything see it.
