OK, the IPC$ error when trying to connect to office01, is authentication. You
need to enable the Guest account on all XP computers that you want to access.

If you're sure that you disabled the browser on both Windows 98 computers, then
run "browstat status" on all Windows XP computers, and make sure that they all
report the same master browser. Multiple master browsers will cause this
problem.
You say all systems have NAV 2005. Is that NAV the standalone product, or did
you install Norton Internet Security?
