Networked computer cannot be seen by other computers

I have a problem with one of 5 computers in a small office environment.
Recently, Norton Antivirus (one of my least favorite programs in the history
of mankind :) crashed on this machine. It said that it had been tampered
with. It also told me to uninstall and reinstall. I did this and when I
booted up again, there was a lot of interesting stuff that took place, it
said that the hard drive was "dirty" and it did quite a bit of check disk
cleaning on it. When it was over, things seemed fine, then the computer
disappeared on the network. On the computer, we can see other networked
computers. I have tried to setup the computer on the network again. All
seems to go well, I turn on file and print sharing, but none of the shared
files or the computer show up on the other computers. I have tried turning
on and turning of the firewall, but that has no impact. I am wondering if
there is something I missed when Norton crashed. Every time I try to click
on a folder and share it, it says the server service is not available.
Help.
