Are you specifying the right encryption settings (64-bit WEP, 128-bit
WEP, WPA-PSK, etc) for the wireless network connection on XP Pro SP2?

What are the wireless network connection's TCP/IP settings? To see,
right-click the wireless network connection and click Status | Support
| Details. What does it show for IP address, subnet mask, default
gateway, and DNS server? How do those values compare to the values
that the wired network connection gets?

If the TCP/IP settings seem right, type these lines in a command
prompt (Start | Run | cmd) windows. Each one should get four replies:

ping <this computer's wireless network IP address>
ping <default gateway IP address>
ping 216.239.57.99
ping www.google.com
