Need help networking HOME + PRO

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Ok my problems is pretty agrivating to me. I have no idea why this isn't
working. Must be over my head or something, but here is the deal:

I have two computers:
1) Windows XP Pro w/ sp2
2) Windows Xp Home / sp1

They are connected through a router via ethernet and connect to the
internet through through that router.

Both computers can successfully access the internet with no problem.

What I want to do is be able to access the XP pro computer from the xp
home computer. Then from that I want to progress to using a program
such as PcAnywhere to do some administration.

So what I did first is started the Network wizard to create the
Workgroup for the 2 computers and define the connections.

Both computers are under the workgroup, "MSHOME"

Heres where the problem comes in! When I open the workgroup and click
on the XP Pro computer I get a message that says:

Code:
--------------------
\\PC1 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
--------------------

So I went onto that computer and tried to ping the XP home computer. I
could not get anything! It said something like "Ping transfer error
65."

So I pinged the XP pro computer from the XP home computer and this is
what I got:

Code:
--------------------
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for [ipnumber]:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
--------------------

So what is going on here?! Any ideas? I really appreciate the help!!
