Okay, I've done all the things suggested above - completely uninstalled
zone alarm on all the computers, disabled the windows firewall, and set
the guest accounts, with no passwords - with no difference.
When I check the browser response, i get different statuses. On the
mainlounge PC (running XP Home SP2), browstat status says:
"Browsing is active on the domain.
Master Browser name is: MAINLOUNGE
Master browser is running build 2600
1 backup servers retrieved from master MAINLOUNGE
\\MAINLOUNGE
There are 3 servers in domain MSHOME on transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{9CA5EF38-35B5-45D7-8D35-5B9B4CBDCD98}
There are 1 domains in domain MSHOME on transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{9CA5EF38-35B5-45D7-8D35-5B9B4CBDCD98}"
The other two computers (the laptop running XP home, and the PC running
XP Pro - the two computers who's files cannot be accessed) both show:
"Browsing is active on domain.
Master browser name is: MAINLOUNGE
Could not correct to registry, error = 53 Unable to determine
build of browser master: 53
\\\\MAINLOUNGE . Version:05.01 Flags: 51203 NT POTENTIAL MASTER

There are 1 domains in domain MSHOME on transport
\Device\NetBt_Tcpip_{FC9Z54A7-FE6A-48DA-B231-18AA4F2A82E9}" (from
laptop)
The other PC (running XP pro) shows the same message, only the
transport is different:
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{42A2FCE7-D521-4585-ADFA-CFEFCDA22E70}
What's the next step?
Thanks,
Manpreet
