More information would assist.

It may be possible that this 'junk' is part of what most call Spyware: but
who can tell from your incomplete posting.

Download or run Spybot Search and Destory. Do this in safe mopde to ensure
that no spurious process are started.

Destroy any crud that you find.

After that try 'deleting' all the internet history files and internet cache.
 Use Disk CLeanup and afterwards run disk defrag.

Let's know if this help to eliminate your problems.
