Slow Network Performance after upgrading to windows xp

Hello, my situation is this:
I have two computers connected to a Cisco PIX 501 device which connects them
via a vpn tunnel over a DSL line to our corporate network. The computers
were originally W2k, after upgrading them to XP users are complaining that
general network access has slowed down significantly. More specifically with
opening/editing documents on file servers, open other file types, etc.

Anyone seen this before?
