I am no tech guru but I do distinctly remember an option for Internet
settings when running the Network Setup wizard on Windows XP...one of the
options was something along the lines of "This computer connects to the
Internet through a residential gateway or another computer"...did you have
that checked (radio button)? If so, mess around with some of the other
options and see if they work? As an amateur that would be my first step of
investigation :-)
