2000pro - xp pro network

I have a simple network with a lan cable between the computers. The 2000
computer can access the XP files, but when clicking on the 2000 name iunder
Microsoft Windows Network I get the message "...is not accessible: you might
not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator
of this server.... Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested
logon type at this computer. "
Shat should I do and to which machine?
I saw. here, a link to a step by step guide to establishing a network in
XP, but I lost the bookmark. What, where?
