Try this solution, it might help:
1. Create a new user, log on with new user and use IE. If everything is ok,
and IE works normally, then delete the (old) user name with was having
problem with IE (adware, always get to specific search website,...). One of
my client was having the same problem and before trying to reinstall
everything, I tried this and it worked perfectly. Hope you can fix with this.
Advice:
2. My next advice to prevent this kind of adware and stuff like that is not
to log on with administrator rights. That mean create a USER with Normal USER
rights (not Admin of not Power User). And everytime you use the internet,
suft web,... log on by using the normal user account. Only log on to admin or
power user account when you want to make change to your system.
3. Last but not least: Turn on FIREWALL. There's is no need to install
adware remover or any stuff like that if you don't like to make any more
trouble to the system and slow the computer down.
