It kind of make sense. To best of my knowledge, I think your Windows XP Pro
must have a login name and password as same as all other computers. Then
let's say different computers have different administrator login name and
password. All right, now you have to go each computer and change the Admin
login name and password so when you try to login to a file share in the
computer it asks username and password of the login name. You enter admin
login name and password. That way you can log in to a share. So let's say you
have a user called TOM login by using his login name and password. So when he
logs in and try to access a share on another computer, he enters the Admin
login name and password to get the file. I think your Windows XP Pro which
holds the share does not have a admin login name and password. You can set an
adim login name and password by right clicking my computer, go to users and
groups, then you will see Administrator. RIGHT CLICK On administrator then
click on set password. It just gives you a warning that you will not able to
use some files or folders, something like that. Do not worry about it if you
are login to that computer using your own login name called TOM and a
password. So, I hope this helps and I am not clear the question you are
asking. So make sure you have the same administrator login name and password
that hold your share in WIN XP PRO and also the computers in the network has
the same login name and password for the admin as your WINDOWS XP PRO that
holds that share.

SAME IN ALL OF YOUR COMPUTERS, IT IS GOOD IF SO + YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT
ADMINISTRATOR OKAY, ADMINISTRATOR IN EVERY COMPUTER HAS THE SAME USER NAME
AND PASSWORD TO SHARE A FILE ---------------------------
Change your Administrator login name and password in every computer that
attached to your network.
